Seven Books: What I've Been Building All Year

I've spent this year writing, and I can finally show you what. Seven books — three for people who run businesses, four for the accountants and advisers who sit opposite them. They're finished, they're being prepared for Amazon in paperback now, and the courses built on them are already running.

The Performance on Purpose collection

The three owner books answer the questions I get asked most, in the order they usually arrive.

You 2.0 is about the person behind the business — the principles, habits, energy and standards you actually run on, chosen deliberately instead of inherited under pressure. In a business with fewer than fifty people, the founder is the biggest variable in the system. This book is the maintenance manual.

Leadership 2.0 is about the job nobody trained you for. Direction people can steer by, decisions put at the right level, delegation that transfers outcomes instead of errands, the conversations you've been avoiding, and a version of the role you can still be doing in ten years.

Business 2.0 is the machine itself — strategy, numbers, customers, delivery, systems and team, built so the business performs without consuming its owner.

All three share one spine: score yourself honestly, choose two priorities, work them for ninety days, review weekly, re-score quarterly. No transformation promises. Just a method that compounds.

The Buzz Practitioner Series

The other four books are for professionals: Coaching Skills for Accountants, Advisory Skills for Accountants, Buzz Money Coach Training and Buzz Financial Planner Training. They form a pathway — from the conversations that change what clients actually do, through building a real advisory service, to coaching clients on their own money and delivering lifetime cashflow plans, with the regulatory boundaries made explicit at every step.

I wrote them because the gap in our profession isn't technical knowledge. It's the client-facing craft — asking, listening, challenging, holding people to what they said — and almost nobody teaches it.

Why books, and why now

Everything in them comes from real engagements: the worked examples use real numbers with the names changed, the traps are ones I've watched people fall into, and the honest objections get answered instead of ignored, including the ones I'd raise myself.

If you want a look before they land on Amazon, the outlines are on the [Books](/books.html) page, and the live courses built on them are on the [Courses](/courses.html) page. And if you want to know the moment the paperbacks are out, book a call or drop me a line and I'll put you on the list.
