Advisory skills training for accountants

Turn good advice
into client action.

Most firms do not lack insight. They lack a repeatable advisory conversation, an offer clients understand and the confidence to take it beyond the compliance meeting.

The constraint

Advisory fails when it remains an idea rather than a client habit.

  • The service is described vaguely and priced inconsistently
  • Meetings default to reporting the past
  • Good recommendations end with a client nod and no action
  • Only one or two senior people feel confident delivering it
The work

The course builds the service and rehearses the conversation.

  • Scope and price an advisory offer for your own client base
  • Practise the conversation end-to-end on real situations
  • Use one-page tools live with clients rather than hiding behind reports
  • Leave with the first clients and next actions already chosen
A practical route

Why Andy

Built for accountants, not adapted for them

This is part of the Buzz Practitioner Series. It follows Coaching Skills for Accountants because useful advisory starts with listening, contracting and getting clients to own the action — not simply producing a better report.

Common questions

Who should attend?

Client-facing accountants, advisers and firm leaders who want a real advisory service on top of compliance work.

Can it run in-house?

Yes. Cohorts are normally eight to twenty people and can be scoped for one firm or an open group.

Do we leave with practical materials?

Yes. The course uses a printed client toolkit and working documents designed to be used in front of clients.

Start with the real situation

Tell Andy what is going on.

No pitch sequence. Andy reads the note and replies personally with the most useful next step — including saying when he is not the right fit.
